Kahn : Piano – The Piano Pavilion at the Kimbell Art Museum

The Kimbell Art Museum where we can see two masters in the same campus. the old Louis Kahn and the newly made extension of Renzo Piano.

Renzo Piano did not make an imposing building as he believes in nature, light and the transparency of the process. He knew he would be constantly compared with the masterpiece that sits 65 yards apart but he made an equally important statement by integrating the surroundings and structure, the natural light and the superior technology of which he is a proponent of .

It’s the intimacy and the human scale of the building that will take it a long way.
